Today Head of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Tatarstan Theophanes meets with students and teachers of KSACU (Kazan State Architecture and Construction University

Today, April 21 at 12.00,  in the  assembly hall of   KSACU will meet the Head of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Tatarstan Theophanes is going to meet   with students and faculty of the Kazan State Architecture and Construction University. On the eve of the meeting   a cooperation agreement between   Kazan archdiocese and KSACU has been signed.

Date of the upcoming meeting is not accidental, these days in the University of Architecture and Construction the  IV International scientific-practical conference "Cultural heritage in the XXI century:  preservation, use, popularization"  is  going.

Within  the framework of the  meeting  it  is planned  addressing   by  the Metropolitan Theophanes to students and teaching staff, visiting the Museum of the University,  discussing  areas of cooperation of  the Metropolitan Church  and  the Kazan Architecture and Construction University in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage. Management of  KSACU will  gift  Kazan Metropolia thesis projects and scientific articles on the study of the Voskresensky  New  Jerusalem Monastery in the city of Kazan (Bishop's garden).  Archdiocese has repeatedly appealed to the  KSACU   management  with a request to provide the materials and assist in the revival of the "New Jerusalem" in Kazan. Department of Restoration and Reconstruction of Architectural Heritage  of  KSACU  has been   engaged in the research of the monument since 2001. Students and teachers of the department, studied all the major buildings of the monastery, gathered a large number of historical and archival material, developed the concept of revival and development of the unique, but little-known cultural heritage of our city.
