The IV International scientific-practical conference "Cultural heritage in the XXI century: preservation, use, popularization"

Today, April 18,  on  the International Day of Monuments and Historical Places,   the opening of the IV International scientific-practical conference "Cultural heritage in the XXI century:  preservation, use, popularization", dedicated to the 50th anniversary of architectural education in Tatarstan  took place.

The event was held on the basis of the Kazan State University of Architecture and Construction under  facilitation of the  Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

With a welcome speech performed  Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Svetlana Persova, who thanked everyone for their participation, and she  noted that the significance of these events is that they help find practical ways of implementation.

At the plenary session of the conference were the guests of honor from Russia and foreign countries - Alkiviadis Prepis, professor at the University of Thrace after Democritus ( "Preservation and restoration program of the Church of Our Lady Peribleptos in Orhid, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia"), Jezy   Ustinovich,  professor  at the   Bialystok Technical University ( "Back to the future - in the contemporary issues of religious and cultural heritage in passing the  values"), Valery Morozov ( " Styles and trends in architecture of Belarus classical period ") and Elena Morozova (" Industrial architecture as an object of cultural heritage "), professor of the Belarusian national technical University.

The conference discussed the problems of study, preservation and promotion, reconstruction and restoration of architectural heritage in the historical and cultural environment. As well as topical issues of architecture and architectural restoration of education in Russia and Tatarstan.

Today, within the  conference,  has  kicked off, design and educational seminar for undergraduate and graduate students in the format of the workshop "Historical and cultural environment of the city. City Tchistopol: Prospects for renewal. "

The workshop will be held from  April  18 to 22, students will work in groups under the supervision of curators from both Kazan and other cities of Russia and foreign countries.

Tomorrow, it  is scheduled to travel to Tchistopol, to get acquainted with the object of designing.
