April 26, celebrations to mark the 130th anniversary of Tukai and the Day of Mother Language will be held

Pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan "On the celebration of the 130th anniversary of Gabdulla Tukai birthday" events dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of Tukai  will be  held in all cities and districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, also  in Moscow and St. Petersburg  anniversary celebrations, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Gabdulla Tukai  to be held.

Within the framework of events - concerts, meetings, conferences, round tables, exhibitions, action "We read Tukai", lectures in libraries, clubs, cultural and educational institutions, etc.

The main celebrations in Kazan to mark the 130th anniversary of his birth and G.Tukai and  Mother Language Day will be held April 26, among them:

At 9.00 - laying flowers at the monument in a  Gabdulla  park  and G.Tukaya on Pushkin Street with participation of the Republic of Tatarstan leadership;

At 10.00 – fixing  of a memorial plaque to Gabdulla Tukai on the Kazan State Theatre of Young Spectator building (Ostrovsky street, 10). In this building,  October 14,  1908,  the great Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukai first publicly read   out  the poem "Hay market, or New Kisekbash".

At 11:00 - festivals with the participation of folk groups of the Republic of Tatarstan at the monument to G.Tukay  near M. Jalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre  on the Teatralnaya street;

At 12.00 - the traditional poetry festival at  the monument to G.Tukay  near  the M. Jalil  Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre  on the Teatralnaya  street with the turning on  live broadcast on the TV channel "New Age", where  the names of laureates of State awards  of the Republic of Tatarstan named  after  G. Tukai in  2016  to be announced;

At 14.00 -  a gala concert  by RT  masters of arts   with the  handing  over   State  awards of the State of the Republic of Tatarstan   named after Tukai to  figures of culture and art in the   M. Jalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet.
