In Tchistopol State Museum-Reserve an exhibition dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the birth of G. Tukai "By light of thought my life is illuminated ..." opened

On the anniversary of G. Tukai - the 130th anniversary of his birth -  the Memorial Museum of Boris Pasternak of Tchistopol State Museum-Reserve created an  exhibition " By light of  thought my life is illuminated ..."   opened.

The exhibition tells about the drama of the poet's life and his work. Visitors will learn about a bitter orphan share of boy Tukai, his spiritual home - the village Kyrlay that awakened in him a love for people, his native land, about the origins of his poetic talent - a book of books "Qur'an" and Tatar national folklore. A separate theme -  a love  between   Gabdulla   and Tchistopol  beauty Zaituna, the love that had no continuation. Kazan period of his life presented his artistic legacy and his  friendship with advanced Kazan intellectuals.

The exhibition - the works  by  the great poet, photographs, reproductions of works by famous artists, a book about  G. Tukai, as well as national household items and decorative arts of the time when the poet lived.

The exhibition was successfully complemented by the famous ceramist, Honored Art Worker of the Tatar ASSR, Tchistopol native Boris Shubin. The most popular character of  G. Tukai - Shurale – made  in different  versions. Some of the images created by the artist based on the Tatar folklore, because he's just like Tukai was  inspired by the works of folk art.

 

The exhibition is open daily, except Mondays, from 9.00 to 17.00  in the Memorial Museum of Boris Pasternak at  Tchistopol,  Lenin street, d.81
