At the Kazan Kremlin the exhibition "Kazan. Cinema. From century to century ", dedicated to the Year of Russian cinema opened

Today, February 25,  in a Display  Hall "Manege" has opened  the exhibition "Kazan. Cinema. From century to century " dedicated to the Year of Russian cinema. The idea of ​​the exhibition was prompted by Elena Alekseeva, author of books on the history of cinema in Tatarstan, the most important pages that  made a  semantic content   of the exposition.

 

The line of development of cinematography in Tatarstan, the continuity of generations of filmmakers, contact  of  old and new technologies  vividly are demonstrated  by  items of  Kazan film studio, GBUK "Tatarkino", as well as   by  collectors of private mobile museum  Oleg Suriv and Victor Klyachkin: projectors, sound recording device, vintage photo and video cameras , lighting.

Rich  illustration  and audiovisual material - old photographs and posters, historical documents, documentaries and feature films - from the collections of the Central State Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan of audiovisual documents, the  RT  National Archives and   "Tatarkino" allows the viewer to represent themselves  as  a viewer  of the pre-revolution Kazan cinema -theater or a participant of  festival screenings.

 

According to the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Sibagatullin  this exhibition made him fall in love with cinema  even more: "Somehow, immediately remembered" Arrival of a Train, "   by the Lumière brothers, the beginning of the XIX-XX centuries, when the theaters were built in Kazan. We know that this year marks the 80th anniversary of "Soyuzmultfilm", the 35th anniversary of our Union of Cinematographers, and 125 years ago  the first film   was shown  in Russia. The  experience that gets young people today - it is the experience of our older generation. There was and is a very strong cinematography in Tatarstan, and there were and are strong professionals, some of them are here ... "

The exhibition can be divided into themed areas, each dedicated to a specific stage in the development of the Tatar cinema:   the history  of the emergence of the first urban theaters, the cinema of wartime,  education  of  Kazan film studio, film equipment  of  1930-1970-ies, the modern period. Each section is equipped with a special code that can be scanned by any smartphone or tablet, and learn more detailed   information about the exhibits. For those who do not have at hand the technical resources will be provided to the device, allowing scan this code.

 

Director of the Museum-Reserve "Kazan Kremlin" Zilia Valeeva told that today, together with the exhibition  another working space opens   for students of the Kazan State Institute of Culture,  for everyone associated with the film, for interesting meetings: "Here  will be the room  where the first films  by   students   will be shown, cartoons by  Kazan children's film studios. We   hope  very much that here will be a meeting place  ... ".

The exhibition has  organized two "cinema-halls." One of them is stylized as the first Kazan cinema "Elektra", then - "Tatarstan". It demonstrates the first steps of the world and domestic cinema. The second and more modern screen will show the best examples of Tatarstan and the global film industry. The new creative space of the exhibition hall the audience the will  show  the works  both   by young and already recognized masters of contemporary cinema.

The exhibition "Kazan. Cinema. From century to century "  allows us to follow all the stages of development of the Tatar movies, to get an idea about the features of the national cinematography, to plunge into the atmosphere of the past and realize the importance of the development of the national cinema in the future.
