In six cities of the Republic of Tatarstan with a population of 100 thousand people cinema halls with modern projection equipment will appear

For the first time, on the eve of the Year of Russian Cinema, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation together with the Federal Fund for Social and Economic Support of Russian Cinematography Fund (Fond Kino)  announced the selection of applications for  provision of funds (grants) to create conditions for  showing  national films in the settlements of the Russian Federation with the population  up to 100 thousand people.

The main objective of the program - to assist in the creation of new cinema halls  in the settlements whose residents   of which earlier  had no chance to watch movies in cinemas. Funds on non- repayable basis in the amount of up to 5 million rubles for one cinema are available for the purchasing digital and audio equipment, the movie screen, the system for 3D display, armchairs, firmware, etc., as well as the installation of this equipment.

For the realization of this project 705 million rubles have been provided. Total, 655 applications from 79 regions of the Russian Federation have been received. The total amount of funds requested was more than 3.1 billion rubles. On the basis of the examination of applications received 143 selected cinemas in 51 subject of the Russian Federation (125 settlements).

From the applied  9 regions of the Republic of Tatarstan  six institutions in the total amount of 29,955,272 rubles were supported. Youth Center "Kosmos"  town Zainsk Palace of Culture   town Leninogorsk, "Regional House of Culture" Yunost " Mendeleevsk town,  the cultural and entertainment center" New Age "Tetyushi town receive per 5 000 000; Youth center "Avangard" Agryz town - 4,956,467 rubles; Regional  House of Culture Mamadyshsky District - 4,998,805 rubles.

Agreement has already been concluded, the funds go directly to accounts of  the applied  organizations.
