"Yelabuga Fly" has won a Grand Prix in a nomination "Tourist souvenir" at the All-Russia festival-competition of "Tourist souvenirs."
November 27-28, in Yaroslavl, a final stage of the competition took place, in which the head of the art salon of Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve Ekaterina Kharina presented a branded souvenir "YELABUGA FLY."
In total, more than 1,300 applications from 67 regions of Russia were presented, the final reached 285 souvenirs that were considered in 12 different categories.
History of glasses "Mukha (Fly)" is rooted in pre-revolutionary Russia, as in restaurants the visitors poured the first drink free. In order not to incur losses innkeepers began to use a glass volume of 10-15 ml. The name "Fly" was due to their size. Original glasses is in stocks of the museum reserve and displayed in the Museum of Theatre "Tavern." Its souvenir replica - "YELABUGA FLY" - especially for ESMR was manufactured in Gus-Crystal. The idea of creation of this souvenir belongs to the CEO of the Museum-Reserve Gulzada Rudenko. Today, "Yelabuga Fly" - one of the most popular souvenirs among tourists.
A landmark event in the museum reserve was execution of a patent for the souvenir "Yelabuga Fly", the press service of Tatarstan Elabyga State Museum Reserve informs.
