Kazan will host the V International Poetry Festival named after N. Lobachevsky

November 27 – 29,  Kazan will host the V International Poetry Festival   named after  N. Lobachevsky.

 

International Poetry Festival named after  N. Lobachevsky is  held in Kazan from 2011, and became a tradition. It is the only literary festival that bears the name of mathematics - the rector of Kazan University and creator of non-Euclidean geometry.

 

The subject of discussion at the conference "The influence of non-Euclidean geometry on the artistic consciousness"  become creative projects at the intersection of philosophical, cultural, historical, natural,  mathematical and philological problems. Approbation  of the original hypotheses, perhaps ahead of time, as "non-Euclidean geometry"    by N. Lobachevsky  is welcomed. The conference will be attended by poets, mathematicians, philosophers, philologists.

 

The Museum of Kazan University will open the festival of non-Euclidean Evening of poetry  where  poets read  out  poems, which are in the opinion of the authors are "non-Euclidean", that is outside the scope of their poetics. In the Cultural Center "House-Museum after  V. Aksenov"  meetings with the guests and the presentation of new books   will be held.

 

The cultural program of the festival includes walking tours of the Kazan Kremlin and the Old-Tatar Sloboda, the tour of the museum of the Kazan University.

 

The guests of the festival will be the famous Moscow poet Vladimir Gubaylovsky Sergey Shestakov, Mikhail Kvadratov,  Slava  Kharchenko, poets from St. Petersburg Dima Grigoriev, Seva Gurevich,  Evgeny Myakishev,  Andrei Polonsky, Anastasia Romanov, and others.

 

Kazan will present Alexei Ostudin, Denis Osokin, Gleb Mikhalev, Nail Ishmukhametov, Airat Bik - Bulatov, Natan Solodukho,  Nuri Burnashev, Vadim Gershanov Vera Khamidullina, Lilia Gazizova and others.
