In Kazan City Hall a music festival «Hotel de ville» opens
On Saturday, November 21, a concert jazz vocalist Eve Cornelius (USA) and a trio of Ivan Farmakovsky (Russia) at the Kazan City Hallm new music festival «Hotel de ville» with Olga Skepner is to open. The festival, has been created with the support of the Mayor's Office of Kazan, it is intended, on the one hand, to promote classical and jazz music, and on the other, bring back the Noble Assembly (as in the XIX century the modern building of the Town Hall was called), the glory of the most refined concert hall of the city. The festival concerts will be held once every month during the "winter" season (October-November and March-April).
It is planned that the style of the concerts will resemble the atmosphere of musical salons of the XIX century, aided by quite chamber dimensions of the Hall of Columns Hall. The audience will be located as close to the artists (the public gallery surrounds the small stage on three sides), the initiator and musical director of the festival «Hotel de ville» Olga Skepner will act as host of the evening, and as an art critic will introduce musical items, as well as communicate with artists and public. Strict dress code is not set, but evening dresses are welcomed. Among the guests of the first night will be representatives of business, political and business elite, music lovers and intellectuals.
The concert starts at 19.00, the press approach to the artists and organizers tentatively is scheduled for 18.15. Waiting for you!

Kazan City Hall - one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in the city – invites to the season 2015/2016 a series of concerts of jazz and academic concerts of the music festival «Hôtel de ville» with Olga Skepner. The unique acoustics of the XIX century ballroom once a month will be converted into a refined concert hall, where performances by world stars to take place. The first concert is planned on November 21: for the first time in Kazan will perform "new Ella Fitzgerald," lady –singer Eve Cornelius, USA accompanied by pianist Ivan Farmakovsky and jazz band (Russia).
