Days of Azerbaijan cinema at the Mir cinema

From    November 16 to 18, 2015,  at  the Center of Russian cinematography -  Mir  cinema,  the   Days of Azerbaijan Cinema with the participation of the Azerbaijan national-cultural autonomy of the Republic of Tatarstan "Azerbaijan"    are  to be held.

The Days of Azerbaijan cinema will open the film by  director Tofig Tagizade "On Distant Shores". The picture tells of the feats  by   Soviet partisan and scout, a member of the resistance movement against fascism Azerbaijan  Mehdi Huseyn-zade, who fought as a partisan in Italy during World War II.

As part of the film events, viewers will see  a picture "Babek" directed by Eldar Guliyev. The action of the film develops  in the IX century,  and reflects the period of the national liberation movement Khurramite for national independence under the leadership of the national hero Babek,   in whose  ranks   fought  Arabs, Kurds, Persians and other peoples. Over twenty years of persistent struggle Babek won four battles, but   the fifth  becomes fatal  -  having become  a prisoner he  refuses the offer to buy his  freedom at the cost of treason and is  sentenced to death.

 Showing is ended   by  the film "The fate of the monarch," directed by Ramiz Fataliyev  and Dilshat Fatkhulin. "The fate of the monarch" - a historical drama, the first digital film in Azerbaijan, which tells about the fate of Karabakh khanate  telling  the events that   occurred on the territory of modern Azerbaijan and the Caucasus at the beginning of the XIX century.
