On the birthday of Sofia Gubaidulina in Kazan City Hall the third regular season subscription "Sound Spaces of Sofia Gubaidulina" has opened

The concert entitled "YUBILYATSIYA" (from the Latin jubilation) on October 24 - the birthday of Sophia Asgatovna in Kazan City Hall has  opened  the third regular season subscription "Sound   Spaces  of  Sofia Gubaidulina". This program on the eve of the jubilee 2016  the   Center of  Sofia Gubaidulina has opened a series of concerts, meetings and various activities dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the composer.

On the eve of October 23, 2015, at the Center for S.Gubaydulina  the second International Scientific Conference "Gubaydulinskie readings"   were held.   The conference theme - "Sound Spaces  of  Sofia Gubaidulina". The welcome word was  made   by Doctor of Art, Professor, Head of  the Department of Interdisciplinary specializations,   musicologist of  Moscow Conservatory Valentina Kholopova. Main  biographer and longtime girlfriend of  Sophia Asgatovna  read  the report, which reveals a global sense of the composer - "Evolution of concepts in major instrumental works   by  S. Gubaidulina".

The conference was attended by Greek composer Konstantin Pantelides, associate professor of international school after F. Petrarki  from Cologne  Olga Il  (Germany, correspondence participation), Moscow cellist and composer Jaroslav Sudzilovsky, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory, musicologist  Anna Demidova, professor of Kazan Conservatory violinist   Monasypov Sh. Kh., assistant professor of folk instruments Muhametdinova G.F.   musicologist, teacher of Kazan, a graduate of the Moscow Conservatory Maklygina A.A., musicologist, Senior Lecturer KFU  Shiriyev N.V., artist, a board member of Artists Union of Tatarstan  Berdnikov T.M. musicologist, a student at the Conservatory N. Barskova and - musicologists,  employees Center modern music after  S.Gubaydulina    Useinova R.G. and  Monasypova L.R.

Before the start of Saturday's concert in the Town Hall a fragment of the documentary "Under the Sign of Love. Sofia Gubaidulina in Kazan " was shown, which became the special prize of the Mayor of Kazan at the  XI Kazan International Muslim Film Festival in 2015.

The concert performed  by unique musicians - soloists of the Ensemble "Studio for New Music" of the Center for Contemporary Music,  Moscow Conservatory  S. Malyshev (violin), G. Krotenko (bass), Monica Huba (piano), Alexander Nikitin (drums), the  earlier  works  by   S.Gubaidulina "Pantomime" for double bass and piano, and the song cycle "Phacelia" - soloist of the Moscow theater "Novaya Opera" Kichigina Catherine (soprano) sounded.

His "Sanctus Anime" («Holy Animation") - a dedication to the Grand Master for the cello, created for the anniversary of S.Gubaydulina, played a young Moscow composer and cellist Jaroslav Sudzilovsky.

Constant participants of the concert season ticket "Sound Spaces of  Sofia Gubaidulina", the  winner of the Grand Prix International Competition,   Chamber Orchestra "New Music" under conduct of  RT Honored actress Anna Gulishambarova  performed  Fratres (Brothers) – a well-known work by Estonian composer Arvo Pärt for violin and string ensemble and orchestral pieces  by  S. Gubaidulina Concordanza (Accord) were performed.

The concert demonstrated a high performing and organizational level.
