Today in Kazan opened the International Scientific and Practical Conference "National Library: milestones of history and modern look"

Today in Kazan in the framework of the 150th anniversary of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan  opened the International Scientific and Practical Conference "National Library:  milestones of history and modern look", which due to  last until October 16.

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government  First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Alexei Pesoshin  welcomed   the participants of the conference,  the staff of the library on  the anniversary date,. "Over the years, the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan   has become the largest library institution not only in Tatarstan, but also in the Volga region and the whole of Russia. Today it is a leading cultural, educational, information and research center, has a great methodological assistance to libraries of the republic and the Volga region ", - he  said his welcoming speech.

According A.Pesoshin, the issues to be discussed at the conference are relevant for the whole industry in the republics’   libraries. "I am confident that during the conference will be found competent modern solutions aimed at improving library work," - he stressed.

First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan also delivered the message   by  the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to the participants of the conference. "Throughout its history, the main library of the republic of Tatarstan is a treasure, a symbol of its  spiritual heritage, scientific and cultural activities. I express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff and veterans of the National Library for a worthy contribution and preservation of the values ​​of national culture, science and education, active educational activity ", - stated in the text greetings.

Alexei Pesoshin presented state awards to the staff of the National Library of Tatarstan Republic of Tatarstan.
