Today, at the National Library of Karelia opening of the Days of Culture of Tatarstan in the Republic of Karelia took place

October 9, at the National Library of Karelia, the opening of  the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Karelia   took place.

 

On behalf of the Head of the Republic of Karelia  the guests were greeted  by  Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karelia Irina Anikina. As  Head of the Republic of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen in his written welcome  mentioned: "It is difficult to overestimate the importance of cultural and economic ties between our republics, which are backed by an agreement signed by Tatarstan and Karelia  past year. And namely, the  contacts in  cultural and scientific fields are  considered a priority in our communication. After all, the knowledge of centuries-old traditions is rooted in the art of singing, dancing, literature  can develop the foundations of modern cooperation."

 

Irina Viktorovna  stressed that the  republic  is waiting for new contacts and new relationships: "The main task - to get to know each other,  and establish further contacts of mutual cooperation. We have something to show in the Republic of Karelia, we have something to share. This is not only a great event in a cultural sphere, but also a great event in the framework of cooperation between the two republics. The interpenetration of cultures, development of inter-regional relations - is our main task, and the idea of ​​the Days of Culture of Tatarstan in Karelia. "

 

On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov  Karelian colleagues  were welcomed by  Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Guzel Nigmatullina: "We are delighted to be able to visit a wonderful land of the north. We hope that the meeting will be fruitful, and the residents  of Karelia  love Tatarstan,  a multifaceted history and culture.

Another impetus to relations between the two republics was  the visit  made  by   Head of the Republic of Karelia Alexander Hudilaynen to  Kazan in 2014,  and the signing of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Karelia and the Republic of Tatarstan on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation for 2015 - 2017. Already this year, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov paid a return visit to Karelia. He held  a series of productive meetings, including with the Tatar  social organization in the Republic of Karelia. Following the President, the delegations  from  many sectors: tourism, health, economy and culture of today visited Karelia. "

 

Guzel Nigmatullina emphasized that "the main event of the Days of culture  will be  a concert  by  the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan and a number of creative meetings on  culture and art."

 

On behalf of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek   Sharipov, director of the House of Peoples' Friendship in Tatarstan welcomed. He stressed that "today,  the national policy - one of the key activities in Tatarstan and in Karelia",  and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation in this area. "We are happy to drive to other parts of Russia to see how different peoples  live. Karelia - a mysterious country, where we have long wanted to get there, and now our dream has come true", - told Irek Ildusovich.

 

The guests of the Republic were  presented the best experience and resources of the sphere of Culture of Republic of Karelia. About the Museum of Fine Arts  told its director Natalia Vavilova. In the ensuing dialogue  the possibility of bringing the exhibition  of traditional folk art of Tatarstan  to Petrozavodsk.  As  Guzel  Nigmatullina noted, this year the exhibition of the museum "Kizhi" visited Kazan,  and the return visit of the Tatar museum staff will not take long.

 

About  the  work of the National Library of Karelia  told  director of the library Marina Nikishina, Head of Culture, the Public Relations and International Cooperation Committee for Social Development of Petrozavodsk City Administration Sergei Solovyov presented the work that is being undertaken by the authorities of the capital of Karelia.

 

Director of the Center of national cultures and folk art of the Republic of Karelia Tatyana Temnysheva told about the first results of the work with the Tatar colleagues. During the trip  to  Sheltozero and familiarity with the culture of the Republic of Tatarstan veps  culture, the Republic of Tatartsan invited  the  folk veps choir to a music festival to be held in Kazan. In turn, Tatar Karelian colleagues invited groups to take part in the International festival of choreography of Finno-Ugric Peoples "Karg kucub" named Viola Malmi and the festival "Singing Russia".

 

During the meeting on the work of the Petrozavodsk State Conservatory  told  pro-rector on scientific and creative work  Tatiana Ekimenko.  Vyacheslav Ivanov presented the National Song and Dance Ensemble of Karelia "Kantele". Artistic director of the ensemble said that a true  gift and surprise for the residents  of Karelia would  be a  final  joint concert item of Karelian State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Republic of Tatarstan on the central event of the Days of Culture - concert in the Musical Theater.

 

The meeting has been concluded  by speech from  director of the Center of Culture "Premier" Ekaterina Anisimova. Ekaterina Efimovna stressed that the Tatar movies are popular with the residents of Karelia - sessions, which took place on October 8 in the small hall of the cinema caused  interest in audience. Ekaterina Anisimova concluded her speech by  showing  excerpts from the film "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" directed by Stanislav Rostotsky - a business card of Karelia.

 

The meeting ended   by  gifting   books to the National Library of Karelia. Guzel Nigmatullina passed a regional literature and interactive editions of the National Library of Tatarstan: "We hope and believe that the publication will be in demand in your republic." Library Director Marina Nikishina, in turn, presented to colleagues the  edition of Karelian-Finnish epic "Kalevala" and references of  Karelia libraries.
