Dear friends!

 We heartily welcome the participants, guests and organizers of the XI Kazan International Muslim Film Festival.

Born in the year of the millennium of the capital of Tatarstan, this forum every year surely    has won the hearts of moviegoers and strengthens its position as one of the most authoritative look not only at  domestic but also world cinema.

Expanding the world humanistic essence of Islam, Kazan film festival carries a powerful charge of spiritual, cultural and moral values, and creative energy. Russia has a unique historical and cultural traditions, the centuries-old experience of peaceful coexistence of traditional religions. And today, the   role of Tatarstan as a center of interaction of Orthodoxy with the Islamic world  is very hreat. In this respect,  holding of such showings   here has a special significance.

Kazan festival has attracted to its ranks prominent Muslim countries, it has become a representative world forum for  exchange of views and discussions on sensitive issues of inter-civilization and inter-cultural dialogue. I am sure that  presented films   in the capital of Tatarstan   not only delight spectators, but will contribute to the development of such ideals as high spirituality, justice, intolerance for violence.
