September 5, in Kazan the XI International Festival of Muslim Cinema has started

September 5,  opening ceremony of the XI Kazan International Muslim Film Festival    started  with   a traditional stellar track. On the square in front of the Tatar State Academic Theater. Kamal Film Forum participants and guests were greeted by the chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin,  Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin and First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Rushan Abbyasov.

Chairman of the jury, People's Artist of Russia, "the Oscar-winning" directed by Vladimir Menshov, his Polish counterpart Krzysztof Zanussi, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Boris Klyuyev famous actors and Alexander Mikhailov, actor and film director Kirill Pletnev  were greeted  by applause. Applause broke musician, actor and director, Alexei Vorobyov.

A stellar track walked  members of the jury of the Film Forum - Uzbek filmmaker Elyor Ishmukhamedov, Soviet and Latvian actress  Mirdza Martinsone, director and actor Rustam Sagdullaev, director Ildar Yagafarov. Film critic Sergey Lavrentiev, director and curator of the Laboratory 'Time of Cinema" Alexei  Barykin and other members of the selection committee also   welcomed the guests and participants of the festival.

The guests of the ceremony were directors and cinematographers from 20 countries, who came to the festival to present their works  included in the main competition program.
