Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers to the monument of great Tatar poet Musa Jalil in Moscow

Today, August  26, Acting President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in Moscow took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the monument of great Tatar poet Musa Jalil.

We remind that these days in the capital of Russia  the traditional Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan are over.

Monument to the great Tatar poet appeared in Moscow three years ago - in 2012. The monument was erected on the same street, named in honor of the hero of the Soviet Union Musa Jalil. The project was implemented with the support of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Rustam Minnikhanov. The author of the monument - Honored Artist of Russia Salavat Shcherbakov - portrayed Musa Jalil upright, staring into the distance. Monument with  a height more than 4 meters installed on a pedestal of granite monolith.

To honor the memory of Musa Jalil and lay flowers to his monument today  dozens of people have come.

At the end of the ceremony, Rustam Minnikhanov and his entourage, as well as the guests went to the Moscow International House of Music on Kosmodamianskaya waterfront.

Here today with a gala concert of artists of Tatarstan officially  the Days of Culture of Tatarstan in Moscow have finished.
