The island Svijazhsk II Theatre Laboratory "Svijazhsk Artel"

From July 23 to August 1, 2015б on the island Sviyazhsk, the II Theatre Laboratory "Svijazhsk Artel" to be held. In the year of literature, the theme of   the project will  devoted  to Alexander Pushkin's fairy tales, and sketches for the first time will be for child and adolescent audiences. Traditional shows  by "Svijazhsk  ARTel " will be held  on  August 1.  The laboratory is held by the Fund for support of  contemporary art "Living City", with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The essence of the current theater laboratory remains the same: for a week,  on  the space of the island Sviyazhsk,  directors of the leading theaters of Russia jointly with the Kazan actors create sketches of performances and present them to the audience. The first sketches of the laboratory, and there will be 3 by  number of directors participants, are  aimed at children and teenage audiences aged 9-12 years.

Theatre Laboratory "Svijazhsk Artel"  enjoys  one more  important feature. This project is a prime example of  «Site specific» - a trend phenomenon of contemporary theater. Site specific - literally "the specificity of place ', especially a certain space. This work of art is  created in a particular space and exists only in it. Directors working in a «site specific», in the planning and operation of the dramaturgical material,  take into account the specific characteristics of space. An integral part of sketches performances created  by  the laboratory "Svijazhsk Artel" became concrete objects in space of    the Sviyazhsk island.

We remind, the II Theatre Laboratory "Svijazhsk Artel" whose  artistic director is always a famous Russian theatrical figure Oleg Loev, will take place on the island Sviyazhsk from July 23 to August 1, 2015. The traditional sketch show is  held August 1.
