Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve holds X International art symposium on contemporary art themed "The Great Silk Road"

From June 29 to July 8,   the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve holds jubilee X International Art Symposium on contemporary art  themed  "The Great Silk Road". It will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, in addition, organizers of the event this year became   the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.

 Art Symposium will bring together 42 artists from China, India, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Moldova, of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Dagestan, Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Sakha (Yakutia) Republic, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan Yamal-Nenets autonomous region, different cities and settlements of Russia.

The objectives of the symposium on contemporary art "Silk Road" is the claim of interest in the historical and cultural past of the famous trade route passing  through the territory of Southwest and Central Asia, the Caucasus and China, as well as promotion and disclosure of the national cultural heritage of the various peoples of the Eurasian continent  by  means of art. But the main thing - creative communication. The Elabuzhsky Art Symposium has become a kind of creative laboratory for artists who come here for the first time or returning once again, wanting to meet friends, enjoy the atmosphere of a thousand years of Yelabuga.

EGMZ annually develops and implements new artistic projects, firmly taking its place among Russian museums, including the areas of work,   to establish and develop professional contacts and exchange of experiences  between intellectuals from different regions of Russia, CIS and foreign countries.
