In Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan) the monument to Musa Jalil to be unveiled

June 20,  in Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan),  the opening of the monument (bust) to  Musa Jalil  is unveiled.  Installation of the monument dedicated directly to two important dates  of  this year: the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory,  and the 20th anniversary of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan. The initiative to erect a monument in honor of Tatar poet-hero of  belongs  to the representatives of the Tatar ethno-cultural association. The bust  has been  created  by  Deserved sculptor of  Tatarstan Makhmut Gasimov.

Inauguration of the bust will be held at 10:30 am on the territory of the Regional Architectural-Ethnographic and Natural Landscape  Museum-Reserve.

Then, at 12:00,  Sabantui  on  the Left bank park  to be held.

In a  solemn   ceremony   Minister of culture A. M. Sibagatullin  and creative  delegation   from Tatartsan  will take part.

We remind, in many CIS countries,   streets and avenues were named after M. Jalil;  many monuments   mounted, for example, in Moscow, Nizhnekamsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, St. Petersburg, Menzelinsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Tosno, Almetyevsk. Now, a similar monument will appear in Ust-Kamenogorsk.
