In a village Kaltakovo of the Menzelinsky region, the Republican festival of traditional culture of the Mari "Semyk" held

June   13, 2015, in a village Kaltakovo  of the  Menzelinsky municipal region,  the Republican festival of traditional culture of the Mari "Semyk" was held.

The guests to  the holiday of the  village were greeted  at the symbolic gate of  the entrance to the main street  with bread and salt  by  the villagers in their national costumes. Near  the houses,  there were covered  tables with dishes of  Mari national cuisine. The parade of delegations of municipal  regions  of Tatarstan   and the Republic of Mari El  took place  on the Central  maidan.

Head  of the  Menzelinsky municipal region  Aidar Salakh  opened  the  festival and   welcomed the participants. Among the honored guests,   head of the implementation of the national policy of the department of the President on domestic policy Danil Mustafin, deputy chairman of the RT State Council on national Issues Anastasia Isayeva,  head of the executive committee of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan Nikolai Vladimirov, chairman of the Mari  national-cultural autonomy in the Republic of Tatarstan  Oleg Tretyakov,  head of  culture  section of the  Sernur municipal  region  of the Republic of Mari El  Avgusta  Shvetsova   were present.

Replacing each other on the stage,  the RT  creative   collectives   as well as   guests from the Republic of Mari El  performed. In parallel with the concert,  on maidan,   the national games and sports - sack races,  run in flippers, dragging a stick, rope, running with a glass of water, weight lifting, etc. were taking place.   At the   Mari  farmstead, where  the life and culture of the Mari was presented, living in Kaltakovo,   organizers held a contest "Cheverev UDYR - 2015" ("Mari Beauty - 2015"). "The Farmstead " was decorated in a rustic style: oven, swings, hives, haystack, etc. Beauties decorated the “Farmstead”  by their creative items. Nine women from the regions  of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan took part  in a contest. The jury had a difficult task - to determine  3 finalists. As a result of heated discussions,   the places   were distributed as follows:

1st place - Malvina Ivanova,    Mamadyshsky region;

2nd place - Antonina Dimukhametova, Menzelinsky  region ;

3rd place - Anastasia Galieva, Aktanyshsky region.

 The celebration was attended by the national folklore ensemble "Kadryak sem"  from Kadryakovo, the  Agryz region,   People's folklore ensemble "Shishor",   Shurabash, the  Arsk region,   People's folklore ensemble "Knavel ",  Pochinok  Kuchuk, the  Kukmor region, folklore ensemble "Vdokhnovenie (Inspiration)). The  festival has been  attended by about 5000 people (including about 300 members of the collectives . All folklore groups participating in the festival were awarded with diplomas and gifts.

Until late evening,  the  Mari   fete  was  singing   under the clear skies of the village Kaltakovo.
