The project by the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired "Tatarstan on fingertips," has brought Tatarstan victory in a national award "Crystal Compass"

In Sochi, the ceremony of III national award "Crystal compass"   took place.

The winners were determined in 10 nominations. Among them  were scientists not only from Russia but also in Europe and South America. As noted by the organizers, only this year the organizing committee  has received 170 projects from 75 cities and towns of Russia, 10 countries of the world.

In a nomination  "Citizen position"the vitory has been gained by a project of the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired "Tatarstan  on   fingertips." The project aims to create an information availability to  eco-geographical knowledge. In the course of its implementation  15 books in Russian and Tatar languages, geographical, historical and cultural sites of Tatarstan in special formats for people with visual impairments  have been published. They can  be  used  by  the blind and visually impaired people in all regions of Russia.

To receive   the award in Sochi,   one of the sponsors  Gelyusya Zakirova " has left for.  For our team, this victory is very important. This is an incentive to move forward and conquer new heights for the benefit of our blind and visually impaired. I think "Crystal Compass" symbolizes purity of mind,  and the way in the right direction to help us choose the right course and go straight ahead, without losing the way. Another very important thing is that we are the first library, which managed    to pass the final and  gain  victory in this prestigious award. And  we  are doubly pleased to receive this award on the eve of our professional holiday - she said on her return to Kazan.
