Birthday of G. Tukai celebrated by a traditional holiday of poetry

Today, on the Day of the native language and the 129 anniversary of the Tatar poet G. Tukai, Kazan celebrated by the poetry. The event was attended by Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, head of the Republic of Dagestan Ramazan Abdullatipov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, members of the national parliament, representatives of the creative intelligentsia of Tatarstan and others. The celebration began with the traditional laying flowers at the monument to the poet in the square, called his name, after which the event continued at the monument to the poet in the street Teatralnaya.

Farid Mukhametshin congratulated on the occasion of Tatarstan on behalf of the Republic, and noted the creative legacy of G. Tukai. "It is surprising that in his 27 years, our Tatar poet wrote the works that are relevant and in demand after many decades," - he said. Chairman of the Republican Parliament stressed that languages ​​exist in Tatarstan, are the property of the republic. "We understand that language - a legacy of the mother and father that got us from time immemorial. If our Tatar language remains alive – so we will live" - ​​he concluded. "When I became acquainted with the work of G. Tukai, I thought I'd read the works of 90-year-old wise man. But he lived only about 27 years old. These people - the prophets, who are sent by God to their people," - said in his speech, the head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdullatipov. He also stressed that today in Tatarstan many poets and writers who "adorn the Russian literary world." Finally, he wished Tatarstaners never forget their language and their poets.
