Kazan will host a gala concert of Russian Festival "Play, balalaika"

 "Play, balalaika" - the first of its kind festival that covers all aspects of the musician: technique, science and concert performance. The project has a great resonance among the folk music throughout Russia. The main objective of the festival as organizers consider is the development and popularization of the balalaika. In addition, the project aims to promote creative contacts among musicians from different regions of Russia.

The festival has created by several conservatories of our country. It was opened on April 1 in Nizhny Novgorod. The project activities take place in a number of cities: Saratov, Astrakhan, Almetyevsk, Dzerzhinsk, Volgograd, Zelenodolsk. A festival will end with a gala concert in Kazan.

April 13 and 14, you can visit in a capital the variety of activities. In Kazan Conservatory named Nazib Zhiganov master classes,  the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of playing the balalaika: Theory, History, Practice", as well as the presentation of new instruments  by  master Alexei Serebrova from Samara.

A Gala concert of the "Play, balalaika" will be held April 14 at 18:30 at the State Big Concert Hall after S.Saidashev.

The program will bring together singers, winners of national and international competitions: Honored Artist of Tatarstan Abuzar Faizullin, Honored Artist of Russia Gennady Mamaykov, Kazan Conservatory quartet of soloists, ensemble of soloists "Russian festival" and others.
