Almetyevsk theater performed play "Romeo and Juliet" at the small hall Theatre of Nations in Moscow

March 26,  Almetyevsk  theater performed   at  the small hall of Theatre of Nations in Moscow with the play "Romeo and Juliet", which became the winner of the XII Festival theaters of small towns in Russia and a participant of the Russian National Theatre Award and Festival "Golden Mask" under the "Mask plus".

"The fact that we show a performance at the Theatre of Nations has a deep symbolic meaning, because we have a national theater, theater that   works in the national, Tatar, language. This is our special, Tatar Shakespeare," - said, in turn, the director of the play "Romeo and Juliet" Iskander Sakayev.

Apropos, the Grand Prix  of the  XII Festival of Theatre  of  Russian towns divided two performances: "Romeo and Juliet" (Almetevsk, Republic of Tatarstan), staged by Iskander Sakaev received the prize "For the best performance of large forms," ​​and in the "Best Performance of small form" the jury marked  the play" Two poor Romanians who speak Polish "(Sovetsk, Kaliningrad region).

This year Almetyevsky theater will participate in the XIII Theatre Festival of small towns of Russia with the play-verbatim "Nonfictional history" ("Yazylmagan yazmyshlar"), director N. Ismagilova, the press service of the Almetyevsk theater informs.
