Kazan Museum of E.A.Boratynsky at Family festivity of A.S. Pushkin descendants in Moscow

March 2 - the day of  wedding of Alexander Pushkin and Natalia Goncharova -  at the  Moscow museum «Memorial Apartment    of A.S. Pushkin in Arbat»    within the   framework of  XVIII Festival   "Moscow. Pushkin. February evening in Arbat.  A  Family celebration was held with participation of the descendants of the poet,  and  the descendants of generations   of  Hannibals and Goncharovs.

Special guests  of the celebration were representatives of the Museum of E.A. Boratynsky in Kazan (branch of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan), last year  adopted by the international community  of  the Pushkin Museum. The  Community  created in 2006, brings together 22 literary-memorial and local history museums, telling about the life and works   by  Pushkin.

 The plot    of the meeting   harmoniously introduced   life and creativity by  Boratynsky, who  on March 2 of this year marked 215 years. About Kazan pages in biography  of Boratynsky and how  in Kazan memory of the poet and his descendants are kept ,   head of the museum Irina Zavyalova told.

At the Arbat museum,  name  of  Boratynsky is  linked with  a famous bachelor party, which  was given   by  Alexander Pushkin on  February 17, 1831. Being a friend of Pushkin's early years, Boratynsky was among the guests.

At a meeting the introduction of a new exhibit for display   in Arbat Pushkin Museum – Evgeni  Boratynsky’s  portrait, created by an unknown painter in the 1820s was held. The portrait was placed in the same living room, where  Pushkin's bachelor party was held, and the next day  the very first family dinner was given  in honor of the wedding of Alexander Pushkin and Natalia Goncharova, the press service of PT NM informs.
