In the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired summed up the project "Tatarstan on Fingertips"

In the Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired summed up the project "Tatarstan on  fingertips," library implemented in the past year, with the financial support of the Russian Geographical Society.

The event was attended by Chairman of the department of Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan, President of the Federation of underwater sports Republic of Tatarstan Dmitry Schiller, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation to support the development of the Regional branch of the "Russian Geographical Society" in the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Gilmutdinov, a member of the society  Maxim Astakhov, professionals and readers of the library for the blind; representatives of the Tatar regional branch of the Russian Society for the Blind; Kazan activists of the youth organization of visually impaired people.

During the event, the director of the Library Nail Safargaleev and one of the authors of the project Gelyusya Zakirova acquainted with the present stage of the project and its results, with books published within him, answered questions from the participants.

Also on this day in the library opened an interesting  photo exhibition "Pole of Cold", embodying the highlights of the expedition to Antarctica, an exhibition of books of special formats for blind and visually impaired "Tatarstan on fingertips", an exhibition of graphic-relief books on  geography available in the library's collections which aroused great interest among visitors.

For representatives of the Russian Geographical Society was a tour of the library, during which they learned about the work of the library and the publishing of books in Braille, the press service of the library.
