State Councillor of the Republic of Tatartsan attended the premiere of the opera "Kara Pulat (Black Chamber)" held at the K. Tinchurin theatre

Today, State Councillor of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Fund "Vozrozhdenie (Revival)" Mintimer Shaimiev visited the premiere of "Kara Pulat" ("Black Chamber"), which took place in the Tatar State Theatre of Drama and Comedy n.a.K. Tinchurin.

The guests of honor at the   premiere   were also   RT   Minister of Culture Ayrat Sibagatullin, poet  Renat Haris, composer Reseda Ahiyarova, representatives of the Fund " Vozrozhdenie" and Tatarstan theaters, as well as an outstanding dancer and choreographer, People's Artist of Russia and the USSR Vladimir Vasiliev.

Prior to the beginning of the play Mintimer Shaimiev visited the K. Tinchurin museum  theater, where  the  photographs   were presented on the revival of Bolgar as well as the layout of the Black Chamber, located in the ancient city, then State Councillor of Tatarstan entered  the auditorium to see the premiere of the play.

Opera legend "Black Chamber" was created at  the initiative and with financial support from the National Fund    Vozrozhdenie  (revival) of historical and cultural monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan. The project  has been  implemented by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and Tatar State Theatre of Drama and Comedy named after Karim Tinchurin.

First-run shows  of a colorful opera "Black Chamber" in K. Tinchurin theater began on January 20 and will last until January 22, inclusive. The authors of  productions are well-known to Kazaners  composer - Elmir Nizamov, the author of the libretto - the national poet of Tatarstan Renat Haris, director - Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of Tatarstan George Kovtun.  Costume designer - Asel Ismagilova, set designer - Vladimir Samokhin, choreographer - Honored Artist of the Republic of Tajikistan Fanis Ismagilov.

According to the plot of the opera legend,  the warriors of Samarkand Emir  Tamerlan  after  the capture of the Great Bolgar   seized 12  beauties, one of which - the daughter of the Bolgarian Khan. Warriors should take her to Tamerlane as a concubine, but can not find out who of the captives  is  Khan's daughter. The girls are subjected to various ordeals, but the faithful   friends of the khan's daughter do not betray  her and mislead  by all means  the  warriors Tamerlan. However, someone informs  that Khan's daughter does not burn in the fire. Nuker  of  Samarkand Emir orders to  bring  all the girls in the stone chamber, lined with wood and set fire to it. Fire covers the chamber. After the fire, the door opens, and out of the building unharmed  comes  Khan's daughter ...

The main action of the play revolves around a central element of the scene - the Black Chamber. It duplicates the same monument of Bulgarian architecture, which is located in Bulgaria.

The performance enjoyed  a resounding success and ended with a standing ovation of  the audience,  who stood up in unison to thank the artists and authors a unique setting for the job. On stage under applause of spectators came out  Mintimer Shaimiev. He thanked all  and shook hands with the director of opera and performers who brilliantly coped with their task. State Councillor of Tatarstan also invited on stage Culture Minister Ayrat Sibagatullin    and guest of honor, the outstanding Russian dancer and choreographer Vladimir Vasiliev, who came to work in Kazan and decided to attend the performance,  having received a lot of good send-off.

Mintimer Shaimiev called the premiere of "Black Chamber" a great event in the cultural life of Tatarstan. He recalled that the establishment of opera and ballet in Tatarstan is inseparably linked with the name  of  K.Tinchurin Theatre, where  it had been  created and performed. Later  such productions as "The Blue Shawl", "Naemschik (Mecenary) " and many others, who entered the "golden fund" of Tatar culture were created.

"It is through music we can proudly show ourselves  to the world" - said M.Shaimiev. He noted that in Kazan for many years successfully   Tatar Opera and Ballet Theater  is working, at the same time, thanks to such productions as "The Black Chamber ", it is possible also to showcase  to  young performers  their abilities. "These talents should be supported in the future" -  M.Shaimiev   said,   then individually thanked for the excellent work of the opera singers and songwriters.

"I want to thank George Kovtun, who is  creating  in Tatarstan  not the first work. To create such performances, it is necessary to have such a heart and to be able to understand the deep feelings of the Tatar people, "- Mintimer Shaimiev addressed to director, who for many years had cooperated with the Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre.

State Councillor of Tatarstan reminded that Bolgar where the main action of  "Black Chamber" takes place, has been  included   the  UNESCO    list,  and was recognized  of an   outstanding universal value.

"This is a story in which no one can interfere. Such is  the legacy we are leaving, and, thank  God, all our plans are being fulfilled, I congratulate you with all my heart on the  premiere, "- he said, adding that today Tatarstan has all the prerequisites to ensure that in the future to create a unique musical theater.
