A farewell with the play "Rainmaker" by R.Nash to be held in Kazan Youth Theatre

January 15 and 30, at 18.30, a farewell with the play "Rainmaker" by R.Nash to b held in Kazan Youth Theatre.

The premiere of the romantic story in two acts by Richard Nash's "Rainmaker" was held in Kazan Youth Theater November 28, 1996. In the repertoire this performance – a record-holder, almost 20 years.

The play was staged in a difficult time for the theater - when the theater was damaged by fire and was left without a chief director (B.I.Tseytlin). The play was not only at the scenes of Kazan, but also on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Once the theater opened after reconstruction in 2001, the show successfully returned to its home stage.

For 18 years the show has always had full houses. It became a favorite for very different audiences - from school children to the oldest generation.

Thousands of spectators show gave faith hope and love. After each performance the audience thanked the artists, standing, with loud applause.

The action takes place in America,  in  summer,  in the thick of the drought, when all living things die and begs a saving shower. In these circumstances, all conflicts between people are exacerbated. Everyone is ready to erupt at any moment, like gunpowder. Tension reaches the limit. And suddenly, as if out of thin air, there is a mysterious, fascinating dreamer and turns the whole life of a small town ...

January 15, performance will be played before the audience 270th time. Honored Artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Kuptsov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Vasily Falaleev, Gulnara Mukhtarova come out in this performance on stage also the 270th time.

After the performance, a creative meeting with the audience will be held.
