On the stage of the Tatar State Theatre of Drama and Comedy named after K. Tinchurin premiere of opera- legend "Black Chamber" to take place

January 20, 21, 22, on the stage of the K. Tinchurin Tatar State Theatre of Drama and Comedy the premiere of the opera -legend "Black Chamber". Composer - Elmir Nizamov, the author of the libretto - Renat Haris.

“Black Chamber” is the best preserved monument of Bulgarian architecture. “Black Chamber” in plan is rectangular cubic base, turning into an octagon, then hemispherical dome.

The plot is based on Tatar legend about the twelve girls who were burned by the soldiers of Tamerlane.

Warriors of Samarkand Emir Tamerlane at the capture of the Great Bulgaria prisonered twelve female beauties, one of which - the daughter of the Bulgarian Khan. Warriors have to get her Tamerlane as a concubine, but could not find out who of them is the Khan's daughter. These girls are subjected to various trials, but the faithful friends of the khan's daughter do not give her, and enclose in every way, making the warriors Tamerlane misleading. However, someone reported that Khan's daughter does not burn in a fire. Nuker of Samarkand Emir orders to drive all the girls in the stone chamber, lined with wood and set fire to it. Fire surrounds the chamber.

After the fire, the door opens and out of the Chamber all white and unharmed comes out Khan's daughter ...
