Kazan to host regional stage of All-Russia Choral Festival

November 22 – 23, the children's music school № 2 of Kazan to host regional stage of All-Russia Choral Festival. Over fifty choirs will compete for the right to go to the federal district, and then the final stages of the competition. These were the collectives that had passed the preliminary selection round in four categories: children amateur choirs, children's school choirs, uniform and mixed amateur choirs, homogeneous and mixed professional choirs.

Geography of participants of the regional stage of All-Russia festival of choral covers Kazan, Almetjevsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Bugul'ma, Nurlat, Tchistopol, Baltasi, Mamadysh, Alekseevskaya Bazarnye Mataki, Verkhny Uslon. Among them - the choirs of music schools and children's art schools, secondary schools, gymnasiums, specialized secondary and higher educational institutions, as well as choirs of student club KSMU, Kazan Suvorov Military School, KGASU, Institute of International Relations, History and Oriental Studies of KFU.

All-Russia Choral Festival is an event included in the Plan Year of Culture of the Russian Federation in accordance with a protocol meeting with Deputy RT Prime Minister Olga Golodets. The action is directly related to the activity of reviving All-Russia Choral Society in our country, under the chairmanship of Valery Gergiev. In 2014, it is planned holding regional qualifying stages of the festival, where the All-Russia  choral society  delegates  the  members of the jury - prominent choral art. Its  winners in each category will participate in the following stages of the district, which will be held in the administrative centers of the federal districts of Russia from February to April 1, 2015. The final stage of All-Russia Choral Festival will be held in Moscow in May, 2015. In its course the winners are to be determined in each category and one winner of the Grand Prix.
