The celebrations dedicated to the closing of the Year "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic world," declared by the International Organization TURKSOI in 2014 to be held at the capital of Tatarstan

November 20-21, 2014, the celebrations, dedicated to the closing of the Year "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic world," declared by the International Organization TURKSOI in 2014 to be held at the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan.  

The key point of the program will be a meeting of culture ministers of Turkic-speaking countries at the 32th session of the TURKSOI Permanent Council (November 21, Kazan City Hall), which will be attended by the ministers of culture of the organization - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, member observers - the subjects of the Russian Federation - Altai, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Tuva, Sakha (Yakutia), Khakassia, and Gagauzia ( the Republic of Moldova).  Heads and representatives of the Turkic Council, TurkPA IFESCCO and Turkic Academy, as well as ambassadors of the Turkic states in Russia have been invited to the meeting.

The most important aspect of the program will be a meeting between the heads of delegations of the participating TURKSOI members with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov.

Meeting of TURKSOI ministers at the Kazan City Hall opens Temporary Coordinator - Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Ayrat Sibagatullin. Morning session (11.30-12.30) is open to the media. Before the meeting, members and guests will learn about the exhibition, telling about a saturated program "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic World in 2014", its most striking moments and important events.

On the agenda of the 32th meeting of the Permanent Council, besides summarizing for the reporting period, the definition of the tasks, activities and approval of the program for the coming period, - the election of the Secretary-General of the TURKSOI and Interim Coordinator of TURKSOI. The ministers also will choose a city that becomes a cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2015. Final documents for 32th meeting to be announced during the approach to the press at 17.00 in Kazan City Hall.

The same evening, at the Palace  of Sports "Tatneft Arena", a gala concert of the II International TV Song Contest «TURKVIZYON», which will be the final chord of the closing events of the Year will take place. Program finale of the song contest anticipates the ceremony, during which Kazan will pass symbols to the cultural capital city successor elected by the TURKSOI ministers.

TURKSOI - an international organization created to strengthen cooperation in the field of culture and art of the Turkic-speaking countries. The organization was founded July 12, 1993 on the basis of a Treaty signed in the city of Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministers of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkmenistan, Turkey and the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Treaty on TURKSOI as observer members have been joined the ministries  of culture of the Russian Federation: Altai, Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Tuva, Sakha-Yakutia, Khakassia and Gagauzia in the Republic of Moldova. International Organization TURKSOI, which in 2013 turned 20 years old, has conducted many important events in the field of culture and art. Art Collection of the TURKSOI over 1,000 paintings created by famous artists during the annual international plein air. The TURKSOI also has a large collection of works by photographers. These works were exhibited at the largest exhibition centers in Turkey, Russia, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Morocco.

The organization signed a protocol of cooperation with many world recognized international organizations such as UNESCO, ISESCO and IFESCCO. Cultural capital of the Turkic world - young TURKSOI initiative: in 2012, it was Astana declared, in 2013 the baton took Turkish Eskisehir city.
