Employees of the Center of Russian folklore of the National Cultural Center "Kazan" visited the folklore-ethnographic expedition in Kuzhenersky region of the Republic of Mari El

In 2014, the staff of the Center of Russian folklore of the National Cultural Center "Kazan" has repeatedly traveled to the folklore and ethnographic expedition. Two trips were organized within the framework of the Assembly of Peoples of Tatarstan and the Russian national-cultural associations of the Republic of Tatarstan "Organization of the Russian folklore expeditions to the villages of the Middle Volga", which had  won the competition for grants of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan for non-profit organizations involved in the implementation of social significant projects.

The tradition of participation in the work of the expedition of folklore association" Tsarev grad (Tsar city), which is operated by the Museum of History of the city of Yoshkar-Ola has kept going.

The first of the trips took place in June 2014. The venue of its holding was the Tukaevsky region of Tatarstan where four settlements were examined: villages Ilbukhtino, Malaya, Bolshaya Shilna, Betki.

The second expedition worked from August 1 to 15, 2014. The following villages of Kuzhenersky region of the Republic of Mari El have been surveyed ( Toktaybelyak, Kuzhener, Bashkiri, Basalaeva, Yuledur, Russky Kugunur, Russky Shoyi, Russkaya Olma), as well as the village Kosolapova, Sysoevo of the Mari Turek region of the Republic Mari El.

During the field work, 59 people have been interviewed with modern audiovisual means, songs, dances, games, descriptions of traditional festivals and family rituals fixed, everyday objects photographed. The process of expedition work took 94 hours of audio recordings, about 5 hours of video, 1,420 photos and scans.

A multitude of drawling, dance, wedding songs and rhymes have been recorded from the wonderful folk artists Semenova Maria Alexandrovna, Senchenkova Nina Sergeyevna and Negodyaeva Valentina from village Ilbukhtino. They have brought to our time, even the rarest historical song about Napoleon, "I was on the mountain." A unique keeper of folk songs from the settlement Kuzhener Kropotova Anfisa Semenova has been recorded. She was not only an incredibly responsive and unselfish man, but also allowed the record of more than 50 weddings, after-dinner, round dance songs. In village Bashkiri folk dances "Koroboshka", "Seni", "Serbiryanka" have been recorded. In Kosolapovo village Lyudmila Brashkina remembered and learned with her ensemble "Happy Grandma" as many as nine dances "Serbiryanka", "Krakowiak", "Vo sadu li, v ogorode, " "Nochka," "I'll be out  across the brook," "Oh, vy moi seni, moi seni, "" Moonlight, "Sormovskaya "," Korobochka  ", the Center of Russian folklore of the National Cultural Center" Kazan "    informs.
