Neapolitan songs, hits of Sinatra and Jewish jazz-rock feature benefit by Eduard Tumansky

On November 12, M. Jalil Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre features anniversary concert of the famous singer, associate professor of the Kazan State Conservatory, a soloist of klezmer ensemble "Simkha" Eduard Tumansky. On the occasion of his 65th anniversary and the 45th anniversary of creative activity on the professional stage Eduard Tumansky performs in an unusual position: the singer will present the program «The Best» to the attention of fans, accompanied by one of the best jazz ensembles in Russia - Ulyanovsk Orchestra "Akademik Band." The concert starts at 19.00.

The program will not present  no opera arias (which one would expect from an associate professor of Conservatory vocals), nor folk melodies in a traditional sound, performed usually by live "Simcha", but will feature hit songs by Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, Joe Cocker and Louis Prima, solar Neapolitan songs from the repertoire of Enrico Caruso and Luciano Pavarotti, the best retro samples of the Soviet era, as well as Jewish music in the jazz-rock treatment.
