October 3, at the Novo-Tatar cemetery tombstone opens to actress of Tatar State Academic Theatre Kamal, People's Artist of Russia and Tatarstan Vera Minkina

Evening, October 3, at 19.00pm, a performance of "The Blue Shawl" by Karim Tinchurin at the Kamala Theatre opens its 109th season

Practically all the troupe of  Kamal theatre, relatives of the actress  take part    in the opening of the monument.

The author of the monument is the Kazan   sculptor  Dmitry Kuznetsov, who also created tomb  compositions of  Tufan Minnullin, Shamil Zakirov, Ravil Bukharaev.   The tombstone of Tufan Minnullin has been created  by efforts of  the  G.Kamal  Tatar State Academic Theatre of Kamal.

Vera Minkina  was born September 9, 1918 in the village of Bakht of  Tchistopolsky region of Tatarstan. After graduating in 1939, the Tatar theater college,  she joined the Republican traveling theater. More than half a century, from 1952 to 2004, the life of the actress was inextricably linked with the Tatar Kamal State Academic Theatre.

The viewers of different generations long have  remembered her role: Gulbika in the play "Unsung song"  by M. Karim; Unganbika - "Abduction of girl”  by  M. Karim; Polina - "Enemies"  by  Gorky; Gilmenisa - "Iskra"   by  T.Gizzat; Melita - "Aesop" by G.Figeyredo. Particularly significant in the creative biography of the actress became  the role of mother in T.Minnullin’s  "Conscience  has  no alternative," Hamdebanu in the famous play "Old man from the village Aldermysh",  Paly - in the play "Sons in-law Gergeri" by T.Minnullina.

Creative activity of the Faith Minkina  was not confined to the theater. She  participated in radio and television programs, starred in the movies.

Vera Minkina died on the 94th year of life, September 20, 2011.
