Republican Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired summarizes the project "Together for Children".

In 2014, a project of Tatarstan Regional Public Organization of Persons with Disabilities "Toros" has been supported by the national grant competition from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan for non-profit organizations involved in the implementation of social projects in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan in  nomination "We and our children. Socio-educational project to work with the family".

During the year, in the framework of the project at the library for the blind, correctional preschool institutions, the specialists of Society of Disabled People "Toros" and Special Library for the Blind, which was a partner of the project, the work has been  carried out  on rehabilitation and socialization, intellectual development of children with disabilities.  The conditions have been created for the early development of children with visual impairments, developing skills of learning about the world, improving mental abilities. The equipment was purchased for grant for watching movies and cartoons with tiflo comments sensory equipment and interactive books that contribute to knowledge of the world and improvement of  the orientation and communication skills of children with vision problems.

Providing rehabilitation, psychological and advice to parents of children. Informational support to families caring for children with "special" needs of the disability was held.

As a result of implementation, parents of children with disabilities, visually impaired, have acquired new knowledge and skills for upbringing and development of children with visual impairments, from the earliest years. The level of emotional and personal, creative and intellectual development of children of pre-school and primary school children with visual impairments has raised.
