In Paris, at the House of Europe and the Orient, the Evening dedicated to the culture and history, language and gastronomy of the Tatar people was held

Yesterday, September 25, in Paris, at the House of Europe and the Orient, well-known by its publishers, bookshops, theater studio, and support of the original cultural projects, with great success, the  Evening dedicated to the culture and history, language and gastronomy of the Tatar people took place.  Our compatriots living in France presented them. The Evening was held ithin the framework of the European Day of languages​​, the Week of foreign cultures, Holyday of  gastronomy.

Luisa Bukharaeva researcher (French National Centre for Scientific Research, the Natural History Museum, Paris), president of the association "Dialogic  Perspectives" told about the origin of the Tatars, history, religion, language, traditional dress, the way of life of the Tatars, the age-old relationship between Tatars and Russians, on the connections  between the French and the Tatars. Leila Sadovinova, Teacher (National Institute of Oriental Languages ​​and Civilizations), held a master class on the Tatar language in which the participants of the evening, got the first knowledge of the specifics of its  pronunciation, structure, met with the modern Tatar alphabet and even tried to pronounce certain words and phrases and sing in Tatar.

Traditional Tatar cuisine has been presented: participants of evening not only spoke about the delicious  “echpochmak”, “chak-chak”, “baursaks”, but they were able to participate in cooking  kystyby, rolling dough, roasting  “lepyoshka”  filling  them  with  millet gruel, and then tried a traditional Tatar dish of tea "matrushka" - oregano.

Iskander Usmanovich Yusupov, a official RT representative in France, took an active part in an event,  having rolled up  his  sleeves and rolling dough for kystyby. On the Evening  Tatar music  sounded. The song "Matrushkalar" touched all: our French compatriots not only do not forget their roots, but also  actively represent native for all of  us  Tatar culture beyond the borders of Tatarstan,  organizers inform.
