The II Music Festival "Denis Matsuev by his friends" will be held in Kazan September 25 and 26

The festival program  begins on the eve of the concerts on September 24,  with  listening to young musicians of  Kazan music school  under  the Kazan Conservatory. This year, Denis Matsuev  arrives  in Kazan with a delegation of Interregional Fund "New Names", which he is president since 2008.  By  results  of listening,  the new Fellows and Laureates  of the "New Names"  to be announced. The guys from Kazan will have the opportunity to participate in programs of the fund, which for  25 years of its existence has already helped   15 thousands  young musicians In addition, the program of the Festival this year includes  a series of master classes with renowned music teachers  Denis   Chefanov    and Alexandr   Revich.

The festival also will   hold  a presentation of a new book   by   author and publisher from  Moscow Vladimir Pronin "Amiran. Notes of a violin maker. "Books  by Proninm  Shaliapin and Rachmaninoff, presented this summer in Kazan, were awarded prizes in the professional literature. Each new edition of the "Biblioteka  prenumerantov"    is  a new, previously unpublished archival materials, serious historical research and at the same time, a book aimed at the general audience.

The  concert program of the this year  festival  - Russian and world classics. Denis Matsuev, accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Tatarstan under direction of  Alexander Sladkovsky  will perform Tchaikovsky's Second Piano Concerto, Liszt's Second Piano Concerto and the famous "Rhapsody in Blue" by Gershwin. Also, the orchestra will feature works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Handel and Beethoven, the press service of the orchestra  informs.
