The VI International Ethnic Festival "Krutushka"

25 August 2014, Monday

One of the brightest events in the cultural life of the republic became    the  VI International Ethnic Festival "Krutushka", which was held from August 22 to 24 in the eponymous village near Kazan. Despite  richness     with  other bright and significant events for the  republic  in August,  ethnic festival did not go unnoticed.

The opening ceremony, which was attended by the    RT Deputy Minister of Culture  Guzel Nigmatullina and   RT Deputy Chairman of RT State Council for Culture Anastasia Isayeva, ended    by funny children welcome of the  two young participants of the festival. They came on stage with their  parents and earned the most applause from the   gathered around the scene participants and guests.

Amazing atmosphere prevails at the festival. Super-modern youth wears  here a traditional national clothing,  and takes a modern look at this very harmonious. It is felt   how  they feel comfortable in these clothes, and in this environment. Communication  is  active and very friendly among  everybody,  often regardless of the age difference.

Most settled comfortably,  sitting on stumps or on the ground ... Here,   the elderly and a large number of young people. Many of them came by   families with young children.

The elderly  speakers  are  very carefully   listened   by the young,  and each of their speeches are wildly  applauded.

The festival is traditionally a family  one. Here, an environment that enables you to different generations familiar with the tradition and transmit a unique knowledge about customs, teach traditional crafts. Toddlers soak up the atmosphere of this communication, I think, will grow in the love of their  native culture, as well as keen interest and natural perception of all cultures of the world.

Impossible not to acknowledge   Larisa Bikmullina - the author of this project, the main organizer of the festival and camp hostess of "Baitik", on the basis of which  major events "Krutushka"   are unfolding   As something very delicate and quite unnoticed by the participants of the festival, she  carries a responsible co-ordinating role in its organization and conduct.

Meanwhile, interest in this event has definitely a positive trend, as evidenced by the statistics convincingly. Geography and the number of direct participants of the festival is growing every year. This year their number has exceeded 400. In addition, each day of the festival is visited by 2 to 3 thousand Kazaners. This  has been  contributed significantly by the  both  earned from previous years positive reputation of the festival, and competent advertising campaign, anticipating this significant cultural event.

Among the organizers   of  ethnic  festival  -  RT  Ministry of Culture,  RT  Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism, Administration Vysokogorsky municipal  region.

The Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan   this year significantly  has supported the festival  with  finances by providing a large amount for its holding  in the framework of the Republican program "The implementation of the state national policy in the Republic of Tatarstan for  the years  2014-2020."

In her  welcoming remarks,  Deputy Minister of Culture of Tatarstan G.Nigmatullina stressed the importance of preserving the traditions and cultural heritage of all   the peoples. She reminded the assembled audience that on the eve,   Tatarstan  had received  UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova, who  handed the  republic  a Certificate for the inclusion of Bolgar  in the World Heritage List of UNESCO. This is an extremely significant event not only for Tatarstan, but also for the whole of Russia. It is at the same time speaks  about how much attention is paid in the  republic  for  preservation of cultural heritage and national traditions of all the peoples. This greatly helps to maintain and strengthen the friendship between the peoples of multinational Tatarstan.

International etnofestival "Krutushka" - one of the projects, making a substantial contribution to the preservation of cultural heritage. It  with its  ideology, concepts and approaches  perfectly fits  into the current year, announced in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan, the Year of Culture.

The festival program is very rich. Here is the authentic folklore of various nations, Crafts Fair. All  the  days  master classes   were held  in different directions, folk games ...

Among the participants of the festival were also  the guests  from distant lands - singer Zulya  Kamalova (Australia), known as a fan of the current World Music, a singer from  Yakutia,    a music  ethnic team  from Turkey. Their performances are warmly welcomed   by  festival audience.

On the festival  ground  one could  meet guests from neighboring Malmyzh Kirov region (Association "Vyatka lapot") with wicker baskets and bast shoes, a scabbler   from the South Urals, masters on leather, wood, metal, hemp items, on making  musical instruments. Immediately,  on a small machine –tool,   very young girls from Chuvashia  are weaving rugs, doormat, belts  etc.

Here you can try the delicious pancakes with herbs of  unusual green color and wonderful taste with a wonderful seasoning, basil and milk with ginger and honey.

Once again it should be stressed, the    Ethnic festival "Krutushka"  captivated  by its   open, free atmosphere, a genuine interest and love for tradition, which is manifested by the participants of the festival. There is  no habitual and characteristic for  many such projects,   over-organization, which   are often gaudy  by their forms  lose their most important spiritual component ...

Able to keep the atmosphere of  free,  beautiful communion between  all  the  participants of the festival, all those,  who are very devoted to their roots, carefully   bear  tradition,  show  a sincere interest in the culture and traditions of other nations - one of the main objectives of the International ethnic  festival "Krutushka,"  Raisa Safiullina  says.
