According to the regulations, the competition program of the X International Festival of Muslim Cinema in Kazan consists of ten animated films. At the Forum,  for prizes will fight cartoons from Turkey, Portugal, Iraq, UK, Iran ( 2 films ) and Russia (4 films). The competition program of animated films will be of interest to both adults and young viewers.

Applications for participation in the Kazan Film Festival 2014 in  nomination y "Animation" came from a dozen of  countries, including for the first time - from the UK and Portugal. Traditionally,   Iranian animators   presented a large selection. "A lot of movies are made in a very dissimilar techniques - explains art director   the  X KIFMC  Albina Nafigova. - I think  for  the jury will not be easy to make a choice, and the audience   enjoy  watching these films. "

A premiere  of the festival, will   a joint work  by  Tatarstan and  Crimean animators  -  a cartoon "Good ant" from the series "Crimean fairy tales"    will be shown.   According to the authors, this is the first in the history of Russian animation cartoon, created of the basis of  the folk tales in  the Crimean - Tatar language. Good children's cartoon is decorated in a traditional style: the characters are dressed in costumes of the Crimean Tatars, and the image of a fabulous forest is a reminiscent of traditional ornaments. The film was made in record time. In terms of animation - a series of stories about the adventures of the industrious ant, able to empathize with his r fellow brothers  and always ready to help.

Quite interesting is an  animated trilogy "Zilant tales" based on the works   by  A.Alish,  produced by "Tatarmultfilm" (directed by Sergei Kiatrov). These are short stories on behalf of the  animated symbol of Kazan - Dragon Zilant. In one of them  a duckling  on  his own example shows that it is better to play sports than to spend days playing computer. Another cartoon, representing Tatarstan, was created by young,  but already having  rewards director Elena Ermolina. The film entitled "Whom is more difficult" with a great sense of humor tells the story of eternal dispute  between husbands and wives whose work is harder.

The competition program includes several animated films with philosophical overtones, addressed primarily to an adult audience. This is a film  by  the twin sisters Marina and Tatiana  Moshkovs "Wires" - St. Petersburg fantasy about what would happen if the spoken words were  turned into creatures and made their own decisions ... Quite different, is  not  a homelike, as  the  Moshkovs sisters,   but   pompous and stately, appears to us  Petersburg   in  animated film "Near Neva" (Great Britain). The film's director, our compatriot Ekaterina Lavrenova  was born and  received  art education in Moscow. The film "Near Neva" she created at the final stage of  her  education in graduate school   English NFTS, where she   had studied animation. Her view of the city on the Neva River - is the sight of a foreigner in the Russia. The October Revolution forever separated  a couple,  who barely had time to encounter and love each other a man and a woman. Memoirs of a "wonderful moment" of their meeting at the bridge near the Winter Palace, and a gas scarf of his beloved English  gentleman keeps for all his life ...

The film by Turkish director Coray Sevindi "Head" tells the story about  the inner freedom of man.  Director Sana Karimi  dedicated  to  film “House of Sun”   to a Woman.  With much love to the woman created his poetic animation "Another Birth" a fellow Iranian animator Siamak Takallo. His film  is  an illustration of the eponymous poem by the famous Arab poet Foroh Farruhzad .: "All my existence like an endless monotonous song. But this song takes us away to the sources of growth and flowering, it is  connected with  a wind in  trees, fire and water ... "
