From September 15 to 21, 2014, in Kazan the VII International Festival of national drama named after Karim Tinchurin to be held.
International Theatre Festival n.a. Karim Tinchurin is instituted by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatar State Theatre of Drama and Comedy after K.Tinchurin, with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the participation of the Union of theatrical figures of Russia. The first festival was held in 1991, and had the status of the Republican.
Over the course of its history, the festival experienced different times, underwent changes, but inevitably went to the goal - to maintain and promote the art and culture of different nationalities. In 2014, the festival expanded boundaries, it has acquired the status of the International, and now unites and preserves the national art of different countries.
If the first festival was attended mainly theaters of the Republic of Tatarstan and neighboring republics, the participation in the VII International Festival have applied theaters from countries: Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, the subjects of the Russian Federation: the Republic of Karelia, Khakassia, Altai Mountains, Bashkortostan, Chuvashia and several theaters of the Republic of Tatarstan. A total of 8 selected theaters, which included performances in the competition program of the VII International Festival. The festival will take place on the basis of the Tatar State Theatre of Drama and Comedy. K. Tinchurin from 15 to 21 September 2014.
As part of the theater festival, traditionally , the republican school competition is held where students have the opportunity to display their talents in different fields of art, as well as to join the theatrical creativity.
The motto of the theater after K. Tinchurin "Man. Theatre. Life "remains relevant for the International Festival, one of the purposes of which to extend the attention to the National Theatre. To make the theater beloved, to become it necessary for people of different walks of life, united, and raised interest in art and culture of different countries.
