Today a press conference dedicated to the International II television song contest of Turk-speaking performers Turkvision will be held.

Today, July 17,  in Kazan,  presentation  of the  II International TV Song Contest of  Turkic-speaking  performers Turkvision will be held. The event  takes   place on the square at the National Cultural Center "Kazan".

Turkvision -  is  song contest  of  Turkic-speaking countries, republics, communities and diasporas worldwide. First contest was held last year in Turkey. The final round was held in the Turkish city of Eskisehir with representatives from 24 countries, 120 journalists   from  Turkic countries and peoples.

Deputy Minister of Culture of Tatarstan Guzel Nigmatullina at today’s   RT  Ministry of Culture  press conference reminded reporters that the festival is one of the activities of the "Kazan - a cultural capital of the Turkic world"  program.   She noted that by participating  of   TV companies of  Turkic countries and regions,    top artists singing in the Turkic languages​  in this project ​the range of its audience is greatly expanded, which is important for Tatarstan  musicians.

First Deputy Head of the National Agency for Press and Mass Communications Nuria Belomoina reported that according to the provision,   representatives of 20 countries  may take part , in the  competition,   but,   however,  now,  performers   from 27 states  wish to participate  in it. Semifinals will be held on November 19,  in "Tatneft-Arena", and the finale is scheduled for November 21. Qualifying rounds of the contest will be held in each participating country until September 30.

The jury will include representatives from each of the participating countries. The winner will receive a cash prize, the right to record  a disc,  and   promote throughout the year.

Today NCC "Kazan" will host a presentation of the contest, in which the agreement will be signed between the main organizer-channel «TNB TV» and international TV channels, which will continue to hold the qualifying rounds  on the spot and broadcast  the show live.

Director of music channel "Maidan" Damir Davletshin  said that last year   he  visited the first contest Turkvision. He believes that participation in the festival - it's a big breakthrough for the Tatar song  since  the  vocalists were heard   by  300 million people worldwide.

A  laureate of the I  international television song contest Turkvision Alina Sharibzhanova, representing Tatarstan last year, said that it was not easy to perform  because then her daughter was only 4 months old, but she was able to adequately represent the republic. Singer marked  that a friendly atmosphere   reigned ,  unity of the Turkic peoples was feelable
