Kazan will host International scientific-practical conference "Intangible cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples as object to preserve"

In the Year of Culture and within the program    "Kazan - the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2014" Republican center of development of traditional culture with the assistance of the   RT  Ministry of Culture and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY),  July  16-19,  2014,  International Scientific and Practical conference "Intangible cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples as object of preservation   is scheduled." The  Conference will be held    July 17-18,  2014,  at the hotel complex "Bilyar Palace".

The conference will bring together scientists,  research centers, university professors, heads of cultural centers, art houses, representatives of Turkic-speaking countries (Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan) and 10 regions of the Russian Federation. The conference is planned in five sections "Actual problems of safeguarding intangible cultural heritage", "Intangible cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples: the conservation of the language environment", "Intangible cultural heritage  of   Turkic peoples:  identification, conservation and research";  "World history and traditional culture of Turkic  peoples." Specialists in various fields  (dialectology, ethnographers, cultural, lawyers, economists, folklorists, and others) will share    out their experiences in the field of intangible cultural heritage in the territory of the Russian Federation and abroad,  discuss issues in priority areas and measures of state support,  and  safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage,  try to determine the principles of identifying and fixing the intangible cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples, consider issues of  systematization and study of  traditional culture of the Turkic peoples, as well as discuss issues of preservation of the language as a vehicle of the intangible cultural heritage.
