The VIII All-Russian national holiday of Chuvash culture "Uyav -2014" is held in Nurlat town

The VIII All-Russian national holiday Chuvash culture "Uyav - 2014" was held  in Nurlat town. This festival is held here since 2006, and Nurlat  can be called capital of  "Uyav."

More than 100 folk groups from all corners of Russia  delighted guests and participants of the festival   by rich cultural program.  The event has been attended  by  officials   arrived  from Chuvashia, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara Perm regions, Bashkiria and other regions of Russia. Prior to the beginning  of the national holiday of Chuvash culture "Uyav 2014", the guests visited the exhibition bakery, a regional history museum and the town  Zakamja Nurlat, crafts, arts and crafts, folk costumes "Friendship of Peoples" and a book exhibition. Here,  a playground "World of Childhood",  concert program, trampolines, entertaining games and competitions were organized. Chuvash farmstead "Chavash kil-kartishe" ("Chuvash Compound"), "History Ahram" ("Echo of history"), "Acha-Pacha Carty" ("Children's farmstead"), "Acha yashki" ("Zubok") "Pultarullah ketese" ("City of Masters") with local food   were presented to the guests.

Opening the festival, the  region  head Ravil Kuzyurov  greeted guests of the Uyav   in  the Chuvash language. He expressed his respect and appreciation to the hardworking people,  who for centuries  have been   residing  and creating  side by side with  their  friendly neighbors.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov conveyed welcomes  from the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to   holiday Chuvash culture "Uyav",  and expressed admiration for original  festival,  wished to spend the day in a good mood. Ildar Khalikov    handed  the activists  of the national-cultural movement - head of the kindergarten "Neremok" Tatiana Fadeyeva  and judge of the Supreme Court Alexander Ogonev - Letters of  gratitude  from  RT Cabinet of Ministers.

One of the highlights of the evening was the signing of the Agreement on Cooperation in the field of culture and development between the Ministries of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chuvashia Republic, represented by ministers - Airat Sibagatullin and Vadim Efimov.

At the celebration,  sports and entertainment, cultural events, the competition "Chuvash Beauty 2014"   were traditionally organized.  Here    results of the contests "National drink", "National dish", "Arts and crafts"  have  been summed up.
