June 14, Bolgar town, within the framework of celebrating "Izge Bolgar Zhyeny" - Day of the official adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgars hosted a regular concert of the III International Festival "Music of faith - Iman mony." In a momentous day for the republic's Muslims it was devoted to the music of Islam.
The official part of the celebration, " Izge Bolgar Zhyeny " has been by opened by greeting from the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. Also, the gathered on the forecourt of the memorable sign were welcomed by State Advisor Mintimer Shaimiev, chairman of RBM Talgathazrat Tadzhutdin, RF chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia, Chairman of the RBM of European part of Russia Ravil Khazrat Gaynutdin, Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office, Chairman of the Advisory Council of Muslims of the Commonwealth of Independent States Allakhshukur Pasha-zade.
Concert of the festival consisted of several clusters devoted to sacred music of Muslim’s history, ancient Bolgars and melodies of their native land. The program was opened by a performance of vocal-instrumental ensemble "Milli Merdzhenner", under direction of Gulchachak Salimzyanova, having performed several songs on poems of spiritual content. Traditional for Muslim nasheeds and monadzhats sounded, performed by Ilyas Khalikova, Landysh Subkhankulova, a coriphee of the genre Mingola Galieva. Nobody remained indifferent to the performance of the group "Miras" under the direction of Chachki Salimova, who had come specially for the festival from Bugul'ma.
In the "historic" section of the concert, the instrumental pieces in the ancient manner, which were performed by Ensemble "Bereket" under the direction of Gennady Makarov, as well as fragments of the New Opera "Kara Polat" by Elmira Nizamova. The basis of the writings of the young composer, a libretto created by poet Renat Kharris was laid a plot of a well-known legend of ancient Bolgras times about the invasion of Tamerlane. The song of Nargiz and the duet "Tugan il" from the "Black Chamber" were performed by the laureates of international competitions Ajgul Khismatullina and Denis Khan Baba.
Participation of talented young artists became one of the features of this year's festival. Their art found a lively response from the audience and the performance confirmed by a laureate of national competitions Artur Shugaelov, who played in the final concert of the Tatar folk songs "Avylym kee."As always, the audience warmly received a laureate of international competitions, soprano Ajgul Khairy. Surprisingly heartfelt in her performance sounded a folk song "Su buylap" and the melody "Tugan il" , in which she was a soloist, became a closing hymn of the concert, which was joined by singing all participants.
We remind that the III International Festival "Music of Faith", designed to combine the music and musicians of different faiths, will end with a gala concert at the Pushechny dvor at the Kazan Kremlin on June 26. Its beginning - at 19.00. Admission is free to all comers.
