Russian folk festival "Troitza" held in villaga Matyushino of Verkhneuslonsky region

Yesterday, June 9, Russian folk festival "Troitza"    held in  village  Matyushino  of  Verkhneuslonsky municipal region.

The program included performances of Russian folk songs soul was  warmed  by such folk groups such as "Kalyada", "Ne Lyubo Ne Slushai", "Kupava", "Kalinushka."

Masters of applied arts offered  products for every taste: embroidered belt products  of birch bark, ceremonial dolls, etc.

Greetings to the residents and visitors of the village were made by   head of  MKU " Culture Department" of the  Verkhneuslonsky Municipal Region   Marina Nazarova and head of   Oktyabrsky rural settlement  of the Verkhneuslonsky   municipal  region  Shamil Azizov. They wished all present well-being, joy, happiness and kindness.

The main event of this festival every year is a traditional rite of tying ribbons on the branches of felled birch and guessing  innermost desires. After passing through the streets of the village under the choral songs of folk groups, birch is  dipped into the Volga   river. This ritual symbolizes the farewell to spring. And this year was no exception.
