Kazan will host the festival Book-Fest 2014
Tomorrow, June 6, the festival Book Fest 2014 is held in Kazan, which will be organized in the framework of the Year of Culture in Russia and Tatarstan.
Festival events will take place at three venues. Two of them outdoors - in the park of the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan and Lyadskoe garden. Third platform will be the House Museum of Vasily Aksenov.
The festival begins in the park of the RT Museum of Fine Arts at 11.00 am, with family interactive literary and artistic project "Close to Pushkin." Here, a children’s playground, creative workshops, theater, reading, playing and singing studio unfold working. The performance of jazz band "In jazz only children" is expected.
Inauguration of the festival "Book Fest" is held at 12.00 am at the Lyadskoe garden where to 16.00 pm 9 thematic zones and alleys are active. On the Alley of libraries a Flashmob "I love to read," is held, role reading and book-crossing are arranged.
On the alley of writers and poets meeting with writers of Tatarstan and Russia is scheduled. A kind of literary studio with guests of honor of the festival - Moscow writers: literary critic, poet and writer, chief editor of "Koltso A", a member of the editorial board of "Yunost " Kyril Kovaldzhi, poet and playwright Elena Isaeva, poet and translator, a member of the Russian Writers Union and the International Association of Russian writers Elena Verkhovsky to be organized .

On the Alley of poetic avant-garde creativity of Velimir Khlebnikov will be the main topic. Here architectural and spatial photo installation dedicated to the poet is presented.
The Alley of publishers will host an exhibition and sale of books. The Alley of artists will exhibit the works by Kazan artists Mikhail Pivovarov and Olga Sushkova, students n.a. N.I. Feshin of Kazan art school, and students of art schools in Kazan. For everyone will be organized workshops on making ex libris and work en plein air themed "Sketches of Book Festival."
In Lyadskoe garden, a photo exhibition "Reading Kazan" is held. On the "Book Fest" music performed by the city female jazz orchestra "Fantasia" will sound.
For kids, on the Alley of games will run a real children's creative workshop. There will be children's drawing competitions and master classes on making bookmarks. Each child will be able to participate in the author's educational game "On a visit to the Bulgar Khan."
In Lyadskoe garden, everyone may watch free movies era of silent screen, created on the works by Alexander Pushkin, and movies of 20s style "vanguard".
At 15.00, in the Museum of Vasily Aksenov a program starts for kids with Russian poet, translator and publisher Faikh Khamidullin. A 16.00 - quizzes for students, literary and musical conversations and lectures.
At 18.00, local historian Leonid Abramov will be waiting to take part in an evening tour of the "Literary island of Kazan".
The "Book-fest" completes with a three-hour dance marathon in the park of the RT Museum of Fine Arts where from 18.00 to 21.00 demonstrations, master classes, as well as games, contests, together with schools of social dances Kazan are arranged . Marathon will take place not in the format of the concert, but in format of "dance floor", which unites it with the traditions of park culture of the 20th century, according to Department of Culture of the city of Kazan.
