Sabantui was held in Istanbul

June 1, 2014, in Istanbul under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Sabantui was held. Holiday has gathered about 1,000 people , representatives of the Tatar Diaspora from different cities of Turkey, the UAE and other countries. Congratulations to the leadership of the Republic of Tatarstan and the organizers of Sabantui were received from Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOI Dyusen Kaseinov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Turkish Republic Aidar Gashigullin , as well as guests and representatives of the Tatar Diaspora in Turkey. Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Sibagatullin thanked everyone for the warm welcome , high level of organization by the Plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Republic of Turkey, expressed hope for further cooperation in the field of culture and art between the peoples of Tatarstan and Turkey .

The best creative forces of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in Sabantui: the soloists of the RT State Song and Dance Ensemble under the direction of Airat Khametov, vocalists Gulshat Imamieva, Malika, Ferdinant Salakhov, Eleanora Kalashnikova, boyanist Marcel Vakhitov, presenter Fanis Ziganshin. Sabantui concert program has received rave reviews from all the spectators and guests, aroused nostalgia and reminded fellow rhythms and melodies of the rich musical heritage of the Tatar people. Folk and classic national works, pop songs, incendiary and touching lyrical dance songs, absorbing all the originality and beauty of Tatar traditional and contemporary art, presented a colorful kaleidoscope of creative achievements of the republic, have demonstrated a high potential of its music and dance performance.
