About difficult, but interesting and important work of a restorer tells the exhibition project of Suzdal branch of the St. Petersburg State University of Culture and Arts and the Museum -Reserve "Kazan Kremlin " - " Ages Connecting Thread." Visitors will learn about different types of restoration activities : restoration of the museum and architectural metal, wood, textiles , graphics , books, easel painting. Absolute interest of visitors of the exhibition will be caused by jewelry, various types of bindings of books, icons, copies of old paintings.
The exhibition consists of two separate sections , united by a common purpose - to draw public attention to the need of preserving artistic monuments and ancient technologies , including and by means of restoration activities .
The first section includes illustrative material that introduces visitors to the affiliate SP6GUKI Suzdal and clearly shows the role of the institution in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage of Russia. The second part of the exhibition shows the originals and copies of works of art , as well as original works created by students in the classroom by traditional artistic techniques.
