Holidays of traditional culture of the Republic of Tatarstan are held in the municipal regions of Tatarstan republic

Along with the Tatar national holiday Sabantui and International Festival of Russian folklore Karavon, wealth and the national traditions of the peoples living in Tatarstan is demonstrated by folklore festivals. Annually, in the Republic of Tatarstan the activities are underway that contribute to the preservation and development of traditional culture of the peoples living in the republic.

One of these activities is the Republican celebration Udmurt culture "Gyron bydton", which will be held June 14 - in a village Pokrovo – Urustamak of  Bavlinsky municipal region.

Holiday "Gyron bydton" - a holiday of spring-summer cycle - Udmurts pray  about the upcoming harvest. At the national level festival, it is  held since 1998. Participants of the festival will have a meeting with the ancient rites and rituals of the Udmurt people , traditional national games, dishes   of  Udmurt cuisine that  not only enjoy, but learn about its  history and cooking methods.

June 15, Mendeleev municipal region presents a  holiday  of the  Republican Mari culture "Peledysh Semyk" in a village Ilnet.

The festival program - the parade of delegations,  grand opening celebration, a concert of folk groups  from  Mari living  in the  Republic of Tatarstan, Mari El, national games and sports. The contest "Mari Beauty - 2014" is held within the  festival. 

Modern Semyk is not a direct continuation of the ancient Mari holiday, during its development it has undergone a transformation, becoming a massive national holiday of  Mari held in the format of the festival. Its required elements are ethnic components: national costumes, holiday parties, folk songs and dances, national instrumental music, games, traditional cuisine.

June 15, in a village of Mordovia Karmalka of Leninogorsky municipal  region the Republican traditional holiday of Mordvinian culture "Baltai" is held. 

First holiday "Baltai" at the national level was held in 1995. A notable feature of the festival "Baltai" is that it is not close to the standard of "events." Organizers are trying to preserve the best of traditional rituals, and conduct in accordance with the terms of this holiday.

National holiday of  Mordovia (moksha ) culture   Valda shinyas  will be held June 21 in Kildyushevo of Tetyush  municipal  region.

July 5, 2014, a holiday of   traditional  Chuvash culture  Uyav  will be held    in  Nurlat.

Within   the  holiday  the  contests: "Chuvash Beauty" , "Chuvash  batyr ", an exhibition of decorative and applied arts , exhibition of national dishes   will be held. Traditionally,  two concert halls  will be active, which  is  to  be attended by about 40 teams from the Republic of Tatarstan and 30 teams from the regions of the Russian Federation.

Republican festival of Slavic Culture "Ivan Kupala" will be held on July 6 in Naberezhnye Chelny.

Holiday has deep historical roots . It is held on the summer solstice , when the sun turns to winter path and the days begin to wane. This rotation of the sun, which divides the year into two halves, summer and winter , anciently accompanied by a special festival, in general terms similar in all European nations.

Since 1999 to revive Kryashen Folk Art,  the  Festival  of  Republican Kryashens   Pitrau    is held.   It will be held July 12 and ends the series of national folk festivals .

Pitrau or St. Peter's Day - a holiday  which intertwined Orthodox church traditions and elements of earlier pagan rites,  Kryashens celebrates in mid-summer. After Pitrau  traditionally begins harvesting, so people  ate  eager to have some fun in advance.
