RT State Symphony Orchestra under direction of Alexander Sladkovsky performed in Perm

RT State Symphony Orchestra under   direction of  Alexander  Sladkovsky performed  ​​in Perm.   The Orchestra of Tatarstan came at the invitation of the Perm Regional Philharmonic .

The first concert was held on the Victory Day on  the square in front of the House of officers -  here,  at some time, a  legendary marshal Zhukov    held a meeting.

A huge stage was  built   especially for the concert. Spectators  flocked to the area long before the concert. People's Artist of Russia Dmitri Khvorostovsky brought to Perm one of  his  favorite programs - songs of the war years. There were "The Dark Night", " Katyusha ", " Ah, the roads ", "Accidental Waltz ." Furthermore, Khvorostovsky sang arias from operas by Mussorgsky and Borodin , and   RT SSO  presented Perm residents  " undeservedly forgotten ," according to Alexander Sladkovsky , " Slavic March" and Tchaikovsky Festival Overture "1812" .

Concert , despite the cold , lasted more than two hours , more than 30 000 people  gathered on  the square. Many  listened  songs,  streaming with tears, some  sang along with world- famous baritone. After the last item,   the  crowd of thousands  arranged a long ovation for musicians .

Dmitri Khvorostovsky after the concert thanked  State Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan   for joint work.  “I thinkthis   is one of the leading  groups in the country. In Russia, they are the first by the enthusiasm and the most important - just come in the top three. Maestro Alexander Sladkovsky - one of the three best conductors in Russia , in whom  the highest professionalism , passion for art and the desire to seek a new creativity is combined . "

The second evening ,     also dedicated to the Victory Day,  overture " Francesca da Rimini " and Sixth - " Pathétique " - Tchaikovsky symphony were performed. The concert was held at  the Philharmonic Hall .

Immediately after returning from Perm,  the  orchestra will begin rehearsals of  the IV International Festival named after  Sergei Rakhmaninov " White Lilac ",   press service of the orchestra  informs.
